caravan focused on the importance of essential childhood vaccinations

Under the auspices of the Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector of the Faculty, and the supervision of Prof. Azza Abdel-Samee Aliwa, Head of the Department, the outreach caravan focused on the importance of essential childhood vaccinations and their vital role in preventing infectious diseases and strengthening immunity during early stages of growth.

The event included an explanation of the national immunization schedule and guidelines for adherence to it to ensure comprehensive protection for children. It also introduced additional optional vaccines that further support child health, such as the rotavirus vaccine for the prevention of acute gastroenteritis. The caravan emphasized that full compliance with both essential and supplementary vaccinations forms the cornerstone of the health of children and the wider community.

The initiative was organized under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Doaa Shehata, the seminar coordinator, with the active participation of third-year students. The event reflects the Faculty’s ongoing efforts to support educational initiatives aimed at building a healthy and informed society, encouraging mothers to prioritize their children’s health, and reinforcing the Faculty’s mission of community service and sustainable positive impact.
