Information Technology Unit

About the Unit

Information technology (IT) is a fundamental element supporting universities in fulfilling their core missions: scientific research, teaching and learning, and community service and environmental development. An effective vision for an IT Unit must reflect the understanding that IT is not an isolated entity owned by a single department. Instead, it's a suite of tools that facilitates the achievement of university missions and objectives.

The IT Unit strives to assist and empower the faculty by providing readily available electronic information through university information networks, ensuring direct and rapid access. It aims to introduce new educational models and achieve integrated automation for faculty administration and the educational process. Furthermore, the unit works to prepare the university community to engage with these technologies through targeted and continuous training.

To elevate the educational process within the Faculty to keep pace with advancements in the use of e-learning technologies.

Mission of the Unit

To motivate and support faculty members and students in adapting communication and information technologies, and to promote and encourage excellence in teaching, learning, and other academic activities. This ultimately aims to elevate the quality of educational services provided by the Faculty.
