Establishment of the Unit
The Quality Management Unit is an academically independent unit, administratively affiliated with the Dean of the Faculty, and technically subordinate to the University's Quality Assurance Center. The Unit serves as the organizational entity technically responsible for developing the Faculty's strategy for continuous improvement and accreditation.
Based on Helwan University Council Resolution No. (333) dated 25/2/2007, which approved the establishment of a Quality Assurance Unit in each faculty of the University and emphasized the effort to complete the organizational structure of Quality Assurance Units in alignment with the organizational structure of the University's Quality Assurance Center in all faculties affiliated with Helwan University, the formation of the Faculty's Quality Assurance Unit Board commenced on 15/4/2007. The completion of the board's formation, following the appointment of faculty members, was approved on 10/12/2007.Subsequently, the Faculty's Quality Assurance Unit Board studied the internal regulations pertaining to the Faculty's Quality Assurance Unit. The objective was to formulate internal regulations for the Quality Assurance Unit that align with the internal regulations of the University's Quality Assurance Center and achieve the desired purpose, while also conforming to the University's mission and strategy for quality assurance and achieving accreditation.
The regulations were approved by the Faculty Council in Resolution No. (3) dated 14/12/2008. They were subsequently updated by Faculty Council Resolution No. (91) dated 16/10/2017, and further updated by Faculty Council Resolution No. (148) dated 27/2/2022. The regulations were then reviewed and updated on 27/11/2022.
