Admission Requirements for the Program

  • Applicants must hold a General Secondary School Certificate in the Science stream (both males and females) and possess a Bachelor's degree or Licentiate with a minimum cumulative GPA of 1.6 (D+), equivalent to 60%.

  • The student’s first foreign language must be English.

  • Applicants must pass the admission tests in accordance with the standards set by the Nursing Sector Committee.

  • Applicants must successfully pass the required medical examinations.

  • Applicants must complete and pass prerequisite courses to be eligible for enrollment in the program. If these courses have not been previously studied, the applicant must study and successfully complete them in May of each year, over the course of one academic semester (15 weeks).
    These prerequisite courses include:

    • Human Anatomy (3 credit hours)

    • Physiology (3 credit hours)

    • Microbiology and Infection Control (3 credit hours)

    • Biochemistry and Nutrition (3 credit hours)

    • Principles of Statistics (3 credit hours)

    • Medical Terminology (2 credit hours)

Academic Degree

  • The University Council shall award the Bachelor of Science in Nursing upon the recommendation of the Faculty of Nursing Council.

Study Regulations

  • The duration of study is six academic semesters, totaling 110 credit hours, in addition to a 17-credit-hour preparatory semester and a 12-credit-hour internship year (12 months) conducted in university hospitals and/or hospitals affiliated with the Ministry of Health and Population, following the payment of the required fees in accordance with the program’s financial regulations.
  • The academic year is divided into three semesters, each lasting 15 weeks, followed by a final examination at the end of each semester.
  • Admission to the program is open twice a year for the submission of application documents.
