The Department of Community Health Nursing looks forward to upgrading the nursing profession, especially the health of the community, to prepare a community of professionals qualified to serve it at the local and regional level through commitment to innovative education, leadership in crises, respect for members of the community and the application of scientific research in solving health problems, leading to the advancement of the health of all members of the society.

The Department of Community Health Nursing seeks to integrate education, practice, research, health and nursing services to improve the health of the population, including individuals, families, and communities by achieving the following goals:

1- Evidence-based health education through modernization of information technology and research that meets health needs.

2- The quality of the teaching and learning process in accordance with the critical thinking method, provided that it is used to provide the undergraduate and postgraduate students with knowledge and increase the ability to perform nursing performance and motivate them to work effectively.

3- Applying nursing sciences and nursing concepts and theories in accordance with the college's strategic priorities and objectives.

4- Emphasizing the importance of maintaining safe environmental aspects and knowing the risks and health problems associated with them in order to avoid their occurrence.

5- Enhancing the use of epidemiology in the various skills of community health nursing.

6- Providing an equipped educational environment that ensures the level of performance of students at the theoretical and practical levels.

7- Providing educational services in the community, such as maternal and child care centers, schools, homes for the elderly, and orphanages in rural and urban areas.

8- Improving the performance of faculty members as teachers, researchers and trainers using information technology and resources.

9- Updating the undergraduate and postgraduate program in line with the various changes of the surrounding community and market, through the use of the library and simulation facilities that support evidence-based education.

10- Establishing various partnerships and cooperation protocols with local communities in various fields such as child health, elderly health, maternal health and occupational health to promote health and prevent diseases.
