The Pediatric Nursing Department aims to enhance the nursing care provided to children through exceptional student education. It equips students with the necessary intellectual, practical, behavioral, and emotional skills and knowledge in the field of pediatric nursing, qualifying them to provide high-quality nursing care during all stages of childhood, both in health and illness, within various healthcare settings.
1. Provide undergraduate and postgraduate students with the necessary intellectual, behavioral, and emotional knowledge and skills to keep pace with modern developments.
2. Work on improving the quality of nursing care provided to children in all aspects (health, psychological, and social), whether in health or illness.
3. Qualify students in ways that help raise health awareness among parents and children at all developmental stages.
4. Create innovative methods and forms to spread comprehensive health awareness in the community.
5. Offer advice and health education to children and their parents in both health and illness based on modern scientific principles.
6. Adopt an educational approach based on critical thinking methodology.
7. Provide various forms of support to outstanding students and those with special needs.
8. Improve the performance of faculty members as teachers, trainers, and researchers by using information technology and available resources through (updating scientific references in the faculty library - renovating laboratories and lecture halls - allocating various simulation methods that support evidence-based education and learning).
9. Apply pediatric nursing science, concepts, and theories according to set priorities.
10. Prepare graduates capable of identifying risks and problems related to child health in the community.
