Student Union Committees: Activities & Competitions at the College

The Student Union aims to enrich campus life through a diverse range of activities and competitions covering sports, culture, scouting, social events, arts, and sciences, alongside supporting student families.

First: Sports Committee

The Sports Committee focuses on promoting physical fitness and sportsmanship among students, offering a variety of individual and team competitions:

• Individual Competitions:

  • Arm Wrestling

  • Table Tennis

  • Athletics

  • Karate

  • Tennis

  • Swimming

  • Boxing

• Team Competitions:

  • Futsal (Five-a-side football)

  • Football (Soccer)

• Additional Facilities & Events:

  • Students benefit from the college's sports hall (opened in November 2011).

Second: Cultural Committee

The Cultural Committee works to foster cultural and intellectual awareness among students through various competitions:

• Religious & Literary Competitions:

  • Holy Quran Recitation

  • Noble Hadith

  • Short Story Writing

  • Poetry

  • Zajal (Colloquial Poetry)

• Knowledge & Artistic Competitions:

  • Wall Newspapers

  • General Knowledge

  • Printed Magazines

• Achievements:

  • Students achieving top ranks at the university level.

Third: Rovers, Public Service & Camps Committee

This committee focuses on building leadership skills, fostering teamwork and community service, and organizing scouting events:

• Meetings & Camps:

  • Regular meetings for Rovers.

  • Training and selection camp for male and female Rovers.

  • University-level Scouting and Guiding Festival for Rovers.

• Exhibitions & Service:

  • Scouting exhibitions inside and outside the college.

  • Local and central public service.

• Achievements:

  • Achieving distinguished supervision in the scouting and guiding camp at the university level.

• Trips:

  • Outdoor trips.

Fourth: Student Families Committee

The Student Families Committee is crucial for integrating new students and forming effective student communities, and it is divided into:

1. Friends of the Environment Family:

   • Environmental Development & Community Service Committee

   • Public Service Committee

   • Environmental Behavior & Pollution Committee

   • Public Relations Committee

2. Specialized Families (e.g., Narsawy Family):

   • Wall Newspapers Committee

   • Cultural Activity Committee

   • Scientific Activity Committee

   • Artistic Activity Committee

   • Sports Activity Committee

   • Social Activity & Trips Committee

   • Camps & Public Service Committee

Key Activities of the Student Families Committee:

• Organizing an introductory celebration for student families to welcome new students at the start of the academic year.

• Forming student families (Specialized Families and Friends of the Environment Family).

• Organizing the Ideal Student competition at the college and university levels among student families.

• Organizing the closing festival for student families at the university level.

Fifth: Social & Trips Committee

The Social & Trips Committee aims to strengthen social bonds and provide opportunities for recreation and volunteering:

• Social Competitions & Events:

  • Ideal Male and Female Student competition at the college level.

  • Chess competitions.

  • Social Topics competition.

  • "Whose Cup Is It?" competition.

• Community Service & Celebrations:

  • Organizing blood donation campaigns.

  • Orphan's Day celebrations.

  • Mother's Day celebrations.

• Trips:

  • Organizing recreational trips to various tourist and archaeological sites across the Republic.

Sixth: Arts Committee

The Arts Committee is dedicated to developing students' artistic talents and creativity across various disciplines:

• Plastic Arts:

  • Oil Painting

  • Graphic Arts (Drawing - Printed Designs)

  • Decorative Arts

  • Applied Arts (Printing & Textiles - Wood & Metal Crafts)

The Scientific & Technological Committee aims to encourage scientific research and innovation, and to develop technological skills:
