The Faculty of Nursing at Helwan University has just announced the result of the first semester of the current academic year 2022-2023 for third-year students only, noting that the result is available on the university’s website without any problem with it at all.The purpose of this workshop was to give the participants a deeper understanding of the genome sequencing data generated by Next Generation Sequencing, with a special focus on analyzing biological data and clarifying how to detect changes in genetics that may be associated with the emergence of some diseases. Presenting the advantages and disadvantages of current sequencing techniques and their implications for biological data analysis. Participants were also trained to understand NGS data, find potential errors in it, and finally perform quality control of NGS data. Attendees were trained to use the Linux operating system and how to write basic commands and also write commands. for analyzing NGS data, as well as training them to identify problems in the data and how to solve them. The course was designed to suit the needs of beginners in the field of bioinformatics and those who have previous knowledge in the field of biology.
It is worth mentioning that the Bioinformatics Center at the Faculty of Science, Helwan University, is one of the leading centers in the Egyptian faculties of sciences in bioinformatics studies, and one of the distinguished research centers at Helwan University, which provides services to students and the community in this emerging field of emerging sciences and pioneering sciences.
